Marion Hall
Shawnigan Lake Private School, this one goes back, way back to 2002. This was big floor for the time in Stone Design’s project life. Campbell Construction Ltd was the general contractor, Stone Design won the bid and helped to develop a game plan with the contractor and architect. A turquoise and amber acid stain was used for contrasting colour effect. Because of the enormous scale and grandiose tall ceilings, each line was triple cut with our specialized cutting tool. This meant that Stone Design cut literally kilometres of decorative lines into the floor. I have recently had the pleasure of visiting the site and the floor looks terrific.
Built in 2002, this is a 500-seat dining hall and food services facility. It uses local timber extensively and has etched concrete flooring.
