OUR TERRAZZO FLOORS
Terrazzo is a composite material poured in place or precast. Simply put, it is an aggregate material suspended in a cementitious binder. The aggregates can include traditional marble, granite, abalone, and recycled materials. Whenever possible we utilize local recycled aggregates in our matrix. Stone Design has perfected the craft of terrazzo with over 25 years of experience as a company.
Why choose terrazzo?
Modern terrazzo brings combined design flexibility and durability not available in other flooring systems. By integrating and adapting techniques from polished concrete, we have the ability to create floors once thought unimaginable. Over the years, we’ve learned never to tell a designer or architect that “it can’t be done” with terrazzo. Every time we thought terrazzo had design limitations, we were proven wrong. An unlimited color range coupled with a plethora of aggregate options from mother of pearl, to marble, to recycled glass; these are among the many advantages offered by terrazzo. Whether you’re looking for a modern monochromatic look, or an artistic piece reminiscent of classic italian mosaics, or detailed artistic work with a photographic quality, terrazzo is your canvas.

Lifetime flooring
Terrazzo flooring is something you only choose once. Like natural stone, it will never wear out. With proper preparation and solid construction, it should never crack. It can be repaired, resealed, re finished and ages gracefully. We leave our clients with a repair kit including the original formula and associated products vacuum packed for renovations and unforeseen future design changes.
Design diversity
With our terrazzo it is possible to match precast elements with your floor, to create custom design elements and cohesive design language.
Any colour combination
Terrazzo can be poured in any base colour. Many types of aggregate and sand can be added to the mix, resulting in infinite design options.
