Polished concrete overlay for rough subfloor.
The plan
The plan for the floor was to polish the existing slab, but when all the floor coverings were removed it was found to be in horrible condition and had to be cut extensively for plumbing. Fortunately Stone Design had a couple pallets of Rapid Set Tru self levelling on hand.
Pouring thin section overlay
The floor was prepped with an epoxy/ sand broadcast system and the pour was ready to happen. Victoria Stone Design always have back up mixers on hand in case one goes down.

Durable Sealer for Ski Hill Environment
Because of the amount of oils utilized in baking and the traffic the bakery receives, Victoria Stone Design chose a really high end sealer to finish the 400 grit polish. During the winter ski boots, salts, ice and sand constantly wear the surface. In high traffic, abrasive environments like this a standard polished concrete sealer will not do.
