It’s all about the details
The union of two materials is where we spend the extra time. Slapping down trim or a transition strip is not a good option. Our Tolmie project features multiple types of polished concrete in 4 different areas of the home. Brass and zinc dividers strips are utilized for the union of the flooring types.

Precast concrete caps meet hardwood
Precast caps line the edge of the hallway of the second floor. They match the floor below and the landing, and meet the hardwood flush, with a join of better than 1/16″
CONCRETE CLADDING
The Tolmie house features UHPC cladding installed as a rain screen. Shades of grey were cast in custom molds and installed in a random pattern.
