Stone design has recently completed a spectacular terrazzo concrete floor for Farmacy at 1402 Douglas Street, Victoria BC . The interior design was done by Meade Design, who put together one of the nicest retail stores we have seen in a while. The flooring design consisted of a large logo, which was defined by inlayed brass and two types of terrazzo.
Coloured polished concrete floors for the David Turpin building at UVIC. Formerly know as the Social Science and Maths building, Stone Design finished this install in 2008. The project featured decorative line cuts, polished concrete stairs, and 4 different coloured water based dyes from Ameripolish.
Decorative concrete floors for Shawnigan Lake Private School. Marion Hall was completed in 2002 and featured a elaborate decorative concrete floor. The pattern was routed into the floor and 2 different acid stains were utilized to create a patina effect.
The floors at Garbally landing in Selkirk utilize a white Portland cement with specialty stones. Butler Brothers mixed the concrete at the Bay Street batching location. The floors were ground inside and out, although the outside was left at 120 grit and sealed with acrylic.
