Polished office with multiple colours
This unique designer office showcases the different colours available when considering topical dyes and polished concrete floors. The old concrete floor was covered with old linoleum tile and had a trench running through it that was back filled with weak concrete. The Stone Design team removed the glues and adhesives and started cutting into the floor with diamonds to see how it machined. Once the floor was ground to 100 grit resins, we started to lay out the cut design pattern that would distinguish the colours. The floor was then dyed with the multiple colour samples and then densified. We continued to polish to 800 grit, and then cut the decorative pattern and applied the finish coat. This floor was the old phillips brewery space on Williams Street and is as rough as they get. It just goes to show, how rough a floor can be, and still look this good.
